Hospital Service
I have always been eager to stand on my own and make a difference. I have accomplished this through a devotion to service. At the hospital, I was invited to be a part of the Patient Satisfaction Team; a small group formed to boost our patient satisfaction scores. I was honored to be selected because I knew they saw certain qualities within me that would help the team succeed. I have been a part of this team for over two years now and I have finally felt confident in my own voice and standing as an individual leader.
After three years of working at the hospital, I volunteered to be a member of the Safety First Committee. I represent the radiology department. Every month, the other department volunteers and myself, meet to discuss safety concerns. We also try to brainstorms ways to correct unsafe work behavior. Through the use of posters, we go over a different "tool" every month that reminds people of safe practices.
